Stained Glass Poem

Life can shatter like glass, sending shards of broken promises into the flesh, severing the self and bleeding the soul.
The smooth transparency of yesterday’s assumptions can spill blindly onto an inner ground that folds in upon itself.
And yet there is a beauty that emerges from the jagged disarray
and the Light that will not leave us illuminates colours and hues not seen before, fusing the senseless debris into a story of emerging wholeness.
Press the glass and it will speak in images of wisdom and hope. No pain is denied, no truth distorted, no love is bound in the stained glass story of our true salvation.
